Negligence in women’s complaints is not right, resolve them quickly: Poonam Dwivedi

As soon as the complaint is received, legal and equitable action should be taken immediately to address the problems of the responsible officers and employee women. This was said by Poonam Dwivedi, member of Uttar Pradesh State Women’s Commission, during the women’s public hearing at Kanpur Circuit House on Wednesday with the aim of providing speedy justice to women-related problems.

He said that cases related to harassment of women, domestic violence, dowry should be heard seriously and resolved immediately. This is the intention of the Uttar Pradesh government and administration.

Under Mission Shakti Phase-5, a women’s public hearing was organized at the Circuit House with the aim of preventing women-related harassment and providing speedy justice to women’s problems. In the women’s public hearing, a total of 22 cases related to harassment of women, domestic violence, dowry and other cases related to women came up, on which, after listening to each case seriously, the concerned police officers and other officers were given instructions for quick disposal of the said cases. Gave instructions.

During the women’s awareness camp and women’s public hearing, Shiv Kumari Singh’s wife Maan Singh complained about her daughter-in-law being harassed, while hearing which, he called both the parties to the women’s police station and gave instructions to settle the case. Similarly, Afreen Khatoon wife Kamran Ahmed complained about being harassed by her husband, Aditi Rai daughter Kamal Kumar fiancee complained about being refused marriage after the baby shower, Abhilasha Pandey wife Pankaj Pandey complained about being beaten and tortured by her husband and in-laws. , which directed the concerned officials to take necessary action.

While making aware the women present in the Mahila Jan Suryaan, she said that for help in case of any kind of harassment or domestic violence against women, they should immediately dial the number 112 and by registering themselves on this number, they can get immediate help from the police. By calling the women’s helpline 1090 and 181, information was given regarding the problems of women and how to call for help.
