Lucknow: A petition has been filed in the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court after the result of a student was not declared due to the OMR sheet getting torn in the NEET-2024 exam. When the case was heard on Tuesday, it was found that the student was mailing the application to NTA (National Testing Agency) with a fake application number.
After seeing the original documents of the student submitted by NTA, the court also admitted that the student had filed the petition on the basis of fake documents. The court termed it regrettable and said that NTA is free to take legal action in this matter. At the same time, the petitioner's lawyer sought permission to withdraw the petition, which was accepted by the court and the petition was dismissed.
The student made these demands in the petition
The petition filed by student Ayushi Patel before a bench of Justice Rajesh Singh Chauhan demanded that the OMR sheet of the petitioner should be evaluated manually, the Central Government should be ordered to conduct an inquiry against the NTA and the counselling should be stopped while the present petition is pending. The NTA submitted the original OMR sheet, score card and attendance sheet of the petitioner and said that the said documents contain the petitioner's application number 240411340741, which is signed by the petitioner himself. However, it is difficult to understand why the petitioner was sending e-mails from application number 240411840741.
The student's lawyer said- I have nothing to say…
On this, the court ordered both the parties to present the original documents. Following the order, NTA Deputy Director Sandeep Sharma presented the original documents of the student along with the affidavit, after seeing which the petitioner's lawyer said that now he has nothing to say in this matter, so the petition should be withdrawn. At the same time, NTA told the court that NTA has decided to take legal action against the petitioner student. The court said, fake documents have been submitted by the petitioner, in such a situation this court cannot stop NTA from taking legal action against the student.
Ayushi Patel, a resident of Buddheshwar Pink City on Mohan Road in Lucknow, released a video and said, 'When I saw my result on June 4, it was visible on the screen that your result has not been generated. After an hour I got an email from NTA that they found my OMR sheet damaged. My lawyer uncle replied to NTA by mail asking if the OMR sheet is torn. The OMR sheet will be received within 24 hours. It seems as if it has been torn deliberately. When I checked it, I was getting 715 marks in NEET. I had filed a petition in the High Court regarding this, on which Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra had put the government in the dock by posting on the Ayushi issue on X.
