In view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the National Medical Commission (NMC) on Wednesday changed the date of the medical entrance examination NEET-PG. Now this exam will be held on 23rd June. Earlier the NEET-PG exam was scheduled to be held on July 7. The result will be declared on July 15 and counseling for admission will be conducted from August 5 to October 15.
The NMC said the decision was taken after a meeting held by the Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) of the NMC with the Medical Advisory Committee, Directorate General of Health Sciences and the National Board of Examination for Medical Sciences. NMC has issued a notice saying that there has been no change in the cut-off date for eligibility to appear in NEET-PG 2024. Like before, it will continue till August 15, 2024. The new academic session will start from September 16. ICAI has of examination The dates have also been changed. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has changed its examination dates in view of the Lok Sabha elections. However, as per the earlier decision, CA exam will be conducted in the month of May only. No change has been made in its date.
According to the revised schedule, the intermediate course examination for Group-1 will be held on May 3, 5 and 9. Earlier this exam was to be held on 3, 5 and 7 May. Whereas the intermediate course examination for Group-2 will be held on 11, 15 and 17 May. Earlier it was proposed on 9, 11 and 13 May. Whereas for the final examination, ICAI has released the dates of 2, 4 and 8 May for Group-1 and 10, 14 and 16 May for Group-2.
