Students have got a big victory in the NEET malpractice case. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, NTA has informed that they are cancelling the grace marks of those 1563 students. Also, the re-examination will be conducted only for these students. Told the Supreme Court that it has been decided to cancel the score-cards of 1563 NEET-UG 2024 candidates who were given grace marks.

SC refuses to stay counselling

The Supreme Court is hearing 3 petitions filed in the NEET UG Result 2024 case. Out of which notices have been issued on two applications. Hearing on the third application is going on. The central government told the Supreme Court that it has been decided to cancel the scorecards of 1563 NEET UG 2024 candidates who were given grace marks. The Center said that these 1563 students will be given the option to take the exam again. The Supreme Court said that counseling will continue and we will not stop it.

NTA presented the proposal

In this regard, NTA has presented a proposal and said that the grace marks given in the exam have been cancelled. Counselling will be done only after the re-examination on 23rd June. The score cards of 1563 students will be cancelled. That means 1563 students will give the exam again. Only students with grace marks will give the exam on 23rd June. It was being said that the result may come before 30th June.

NTA gave 2 options to the students

During the hearing in the Supreme Court, NTA has given only two options to 1563 students, whose results are accused of irregularities after grace marks. NTA said that a candidate can participate in NEET UG counseling without grace marks or appear in the NEET exam again. NTA will conduct NEET again only for 1563 students who appeared at 6 exam centers.

No need to be afraid- Supreme Court

A vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Sandeep Mehta heard the case. During the hearing, the Supreme Court reiterated that it will not stop the counseling of NEET-UG, 2024. The Supreme Court said that counseling will continue and we will not stop it. Once the exam is over, everything is fine. There is no need to be afraid of it.

Government is with the children- Education Minister

In this regard, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that no paper has been leaked. The government formed NTA as per the order of the Supreme Court. The government is with the children. There is no corruption in the NEET exam.
