Paris: Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra has created history in the Paris Olympics. Neeraj Chopra has won the silver medal in the javelin throw event. Neeraj Chopra, who won gold in Tokyo, has now won the silver medal in the Paris Olympics. With this medal, Neeraj Chopra became the first athlete of independent India to win a medal in two consecutive Olympics in the athletics event. Neeraj Chopra won the silver medal with a throw of 89.45 meters. The gold medal of this event went to Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan. Nadeem has set an Olympic record with a throw of 92.97 meters and won the gold medal.

India wins fifth medal in Paris Olympics
India has so far won five medals in Paris Olympics 2024. India has got bronze medal in these four medals. Manu Bhaker was the first player to win bronze medal in shooting.
