Varanasi, 25 November (HS). The 11th NDRF Inter-Zonal Football Competition between the teams of different zones of the force started from Monday at Sahupuri Complex, Varanasi. 11 NDRF Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Manoj Kumar Sharma inaugurated the competition.
On this occasion, the DIG while welcoming all the participating teams said that the main objective of such events is to promote mutual coordination, harmony and all-round development among the rescue personnel of NDRF. He said that NDRF rescue workers remain engaged in serving the general public throughout the year while battling various disasters. Such events develop new energy, enthusiasm and positive attitude within them. Four teams (3, 12, 13 and 16 corps of NDRF) from four zones of NDRF (South and South-Central Zone, East and North-East Zone, North Zone, West-Central Zone) are participating in the competition.
