NDPS Case: Bikram Majithia summoned again in drug case, now summons issued for this date

The Special Investigation Team probing the multi-crore drug case of 2013 has again summoned Akali Dal general secretary Bikram Singh Majithia. The Special Investigation Team has called Mejthia for questioning on March 6.

Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia has been asked to appear at the Patiala Police Line on March 6 at 11 am. Meanwhile, a team led by Patiala Range DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar will interrogate him. The team members include SSP Patiala Varun Sharma, SP (D) Yogesh Sharma and DSP Jaswinder Tiwana.

Earlier, SIT had called Bikram Singh Majithia for questioning in the month of February. But at that time the farmer movement was at its peak. Besides, all police duties were put on Shambhu border. All the officers and personnel were deployed on the border front. In such circumstances this investigation could not be done. Moreover, the investigation was also postponed at that time. After this he has been invited again.

Bikram Singh Majithia The case against was registered during the Congress government, just before the election code of conduct came into force for the assembly elections on December 20, 2021. After this he went to jail. Majithia got bail on 10 August 2022.

Majithia has already been raising questions on this matter. He says that this is a unique NDPS case. In which the police have not made any recovery. However, the police have recorded statements of many people caught in drug trafficking.
