NDMC launches tree-ambulance to treat sick trees

New Delhi, April 11 (Hindustan Reporter) The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) will treat diseased trees in the area. For this, tree-ambulance has been launched on Thursday. The tree-ambulance will be used to treat trees suffering from diseases, pests and termites etc. Personnel will also be deployed on this.

According to the NDMC spokesperson, the NDMC area has rich greenery including 1.80 lakh trees. The process of tree surgery starts with removing the infected or hollow part, cleaning it with a brush, washing it properly, applying insecticides, fungicides on the infected part and filling the hollow trunk with an inert material like foam and covering it with chicken net. Is.

The tree ambulance launched by NDMC is an eco-friendly CNG based vehicle. It is equipped with two water tanks and jet pumps with storage capacity of 750 liters and 250 liters. In which there is arrangement for storing and carrying equipment, pesticides. Trained personnel will be deployed on tree ambulances.

In New Delhi region, NDMC is maintaining about 1500 acres of green area and 135 green roads, 10 major parks, 1400 residential colony parks, 3 hi-tech nurseries, 3 international relations based parks including 10 departmental nurseries.

Which includes 3 Memorial Park, Happiness Area and iconic gardens like Nehru Park, Lodhi Garden, Talkatora Garden and Sanjay Lake, Children Park – India Gate, Central Park – Connaught Place, CWG Park, Shanti Path.
