NCP will contest elections with full strength in Delhi, alliance with BJP possible, Praful Patel meets candidates

New Delhi, 20 December (Hindustan Reporter). Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will contest the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections with full strength. NCP has contested elections in Delhi earlier also. The names of the candidates will be announced after discussing the alliance with the top leadership of the Bharatiya Janata Party. NCP working president and former Union Minister Praful Patel made this announcement in an informal meeting with journalists at the national office at North Avenue late evening yesterday.

He said that recently, NCP has formed the government in Maharashtra along with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena. NCP wants the Delhi Assembly elections to be fought together. If there is an alliance, it will pave the way for a big victory. He said that NCP President Ajit Pawar also agrees that if elections are fought by joining hands with BJP in Delhi, the chances of success will increase manifold. He said that campaigning for Delhi Assembly elections has been started under the leadership of State President Virendra Singh. Virendra Singh’s constituency will be announced soon.

Patel said that NCP has won the assembly constituencies Badarpur, Okhla, Sangam Vihar, Chhatarpur, Dwarka, Vishwas Nagar, Gokulpuri, Laxmi Nagar, Rohtas Nagar, Burari, Bijwasan, Mehrauli, Mundka, Mangolpuri, Narela, Matia Mahal, Uttam Nagar, Jangpura, Candidates for Kasturba Nagar, Ballimaran and Rajendra Nagar have been decided. Their names will be announced soon. Senior NCP leader and Rajya Sabha member Patel earlier participated in the workers conference in Delhi. General Secretary SR Kohli, Secretary Brajmohan Srivastava and NCP Delhi State Legal Cell head Tej Singh Varun were prominently present in the conference.
