NCP-SP could take contribution, Election Commission gave permission

New Delhi, July 8 (HS). The Election Commission has approved the candidature of Nationalist Congress Party-Sharadchandra Pawar for the upcoming state assembly elections in Maharashtra.
In view of this, the party has granted permission to accept voluntary contributions from the public. The party had requested the Election Commission to issue a notice or certificate recording the status of the party for the purpose of accepting voluntary contributions from the public. In its notification dated July 26, 2017, the party has authorised itself to accept any sum of money voluntarily given by any person or company, other than a Government company, under Section 29B and Section 29C of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

An 8-member delegation of the NCP-SP party led by its working president Supriya Sule met the Election Commission at the Nirvachan Sadan today. The party had won 8 seats in the recent Lok Sabha elections under the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. Ajit Pawar faction
