Jammu, 24 February (HS). NC leader and former MLC Mohammad Rafiq Shah joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) with supporters at the party headquarters, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. On this occasion, Mohammad Ayub Pehalwan (Kotranka, Budhal) also joined BJP along with his supporters. Jammu and Kashmir BJP President Ravindra Raina and MP (Lok Sabha) Jugal Kishore Sharma along with other leaders welcomed him into the party.
Welcoming the new entrants, Raina said that the democratic ethos and sense of patriotism run deep in the Bharatiya Janata Party. These people are joining BJP with clear intentions of serving the society and motherland without any prejudice and reaching out to every section of the society. He was a victim of constant harassment and abuse for decades.
Meanwhile, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that the Modi government has served the neglected and the oppressed and has done justice to crores of people from many sects and sections of the society. These good works of the Modi government have won the hearts of the people, who have decided to heavily support the BJP in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
