Naxalites have called for a Jharkhand-Bihar bandh in protest against the arrest of Jaya, wife of banned Naxal leader Vivek, who has a bounty of Rs 1 crore on his head, from the banned Naxalite organisation CPI-Maoist. In this regard, Bihar-Jharkhand Special Area Committee spokesperson Azad has called for a Bihar-Jharkhand bandh on 25 July.
Regarding the bandh, Jharkhand Police Headquarters has directed all SSPs and SPs of the state to be extra cautious. They have also been asked to keep a close watch on public places and roads. Apart from this, Railway Police has also been asked to remain alert. They have also been asked to run pilot trains ahead of express trains. Spokesperson Azad has also made several allegations against Jharkhand Police through a press release.
