New Delhi, September 21 (HS). Several victims of Naxalite violence from Bastar region of Chhattisgarh met President Draupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday.

The President himself shared this information while sharing the picture of meeting the victims on the social media platform X. The President said that no purpose can justify following the path of violence, as it proves very costly for the society. Left wing extremists should renounce violence, join the mainstream and all efforts will be made to solve the problems they want to highlight. This is the path of democracy and this is the path shown to us by Mahatma Gandhi. In this world plagued by violence, we should try to follow the path of peace.

It is noteworthy that a group of Naxal violence victims from Chhattisgarh is currently in the national capital Delhi. Just a day ago, Union Home Minister Amit Shah met this group at his residence in New Delhi.
