Gumla, June 9 (HS). Gumla police arrested CPI Maoist's sub-zonal commander Shambhu Ganjhu alias Ravi Ganjhu, who had a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head, and sent him to jail on Sunday. Ravi Ganjhu's home is Humbi Saradhu village in Tandwa police station of Chatra district. Police arrested him from Jhalapath Karasili forest in Dirgaon of Ghagra police station. More than a dozen cases are registered against him in Chatra, Latehar, Gumla.

Gumla's Superintendent of Police Shambhu Kumar Singh got secret information about this. After this, on the instructions of the SP, a team of SDPO Gumla, Ghaghra police station in-charge and QRT was formed. The police team made a strategy to catch Ravi Ganjhu. After this, the police team entered the Dirgaon area of ​​Ghaghra police station area and arrested Ravi Ganjhu by laying siege. At the time Ravi Ganjhu was caught, he was alone. His other companions were not with him. No weapon was found with Ravi. Because he was engaged in strengthening the organization by roaming from village to village in rural attire. However, a bag was found from him, in which soap, toothbrush, Colgate paste, cloth used by Ravi Ganjhu as well as a printed pamphlet of CPI Maoist were found.

In a press conference, Gumla SP Shambhu Kumar Singh said that after the weakening of CPI (Maoist) in Bishunpur, Ghaghra and Chainpur areas of Gumla, Ravi Ganjhu entered Ghaghra area at the behest of SAC member Chhotu Kherwar with the intention of collecting levy money and expanding the organization. Then secret information was received. Immediately a police team was formed and Ravi Ganjhu was arrested. The SP said that when the police entered the Jhalapaat area of ​​Dirgaon, they saw a person roaming around in a suspicious condition. The police took him into custody and checked the bag hanging on his back, and found a pamphlet of CPI (Maoist). During interrogation, it was found that he is the sub-zonal commander of CPI (Maoist) and the government has placed a reward of Rs 10 lakh on him. During interrogation, Ravi Ganjhu has given many important information, on the basis of which the police will take action. The SP said that there are a total of eight members in Ravi Ganjhu's squad. But his other companions are in Budhapahar area. He had entered this area alone. Ravi Ganjhu himself lived in Budha Pahad of Latehar district. But, on the orders of the top leaders of CPI (Maoist), he entered Gumla and was caught.
