Lahore: When Nawaz Sharif, the architect of the war with India and three-time Prime Minister of Pakistan, returned home in October last year, there were speculations that he might once again accept the post of Prime Minister but it did not happen. Punjab Party President Rana Sannullah said in a press conference at the PLNL meeting in Lahore that the decision to make Nawaz Sharif the party president again was taken in the party meeting on Friday. He is on a five-day visit to China. On his return from there he will be asked to take over as party president.
It is also said that Nawaz Sharif has the full support of the army in Pakistan. It is well known that a person who does not have the support of the army in Pakistan cannot occupy a high position and even if he does, he cannot survive. It is also possible that he may make his younger brother the Deputy Prime Minister and become the Prime Minister himself. However, right now Shahbaz is going as per his words.
