Nawaz and Bilawal Bhutto's party will finally form government in Pakistan

The suspense of the new government in Pakistan is over. After 12 days, finally the alliance formula between Nawaz Sharif's party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Bilawat Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has been approved. Talks continued between the two sides for a long time. Late on Tuesday night, the high command of both the parties has announced the formation of a coalition government.

PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari announced that Shehbaz Sharif (72 years) from PML-N will become the Prime Minister once. Both the parties are ready to form a coalition government. Speaking to reporters, Bilawal said, PPP and PML-N have achieved the required numbers and now we are in a position to form the government.

'Zardari is certain to become President again'

At the same time, according to the formula of the agreement, PPP co-chairman Asif Zardari (68 years) is certain to become the President of the country again. Apart from this, there are reports that PML-N senior vice president and Nawaz Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz (50 years) has been nominated for the post of Chief Minister of Punjab.

'Imran failed to gain majority'

Bilawal further said that the candidates supported by former Prime Minister Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party and Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) failed to secure a simple majority in Parliament to form the government at the Centre. Bilawal expressed hope that there will be a positive reaction in the market on the news of political alliance with PML-N to form a coalition government. At present Pakistan is facing cash crisis.

Shahbaz becomes PM by replacing Imran in 2022

At present, the path has been cleared for Shahbaz to become PM for the second time. After Imran Khan was removed from power, Shahbaz became the 23rd Prime Minister of Pakistan and took over the reins of the country from April 2022 to August 2023. He came to government with the support of PPP.

'I want to see my father become President'

Earlier, Bilawal had said in a statement that he wants to see his father Asif Ali Zardari (68 years) become the President once again. Zardari, husband of late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, was president from 2008 to 2013. He said, I am not saying this because he is my father. I am saying this because the country is in extreme crisis at this time and if anyone has the ability to extinguish this fire then it is Asif Ali Zardari.

'Imran's most supported candidate won'

Let us tell you that there are 266 seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan. The results of 265 seats have been declared. 133 seats are needed to form the government. General elections were held in the country on 8 February. Most of the independent candidates supported by former Prime Minister Imran Khan's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf won. The Election Commission of Pakistan has announced that independent candidates have won the maximum number of 101 seats in the general elections. Out of which 93 candidates have the support of Imran Khan's party PTI. It was followed by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) with 75 seats, followed by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) with 54 seats. Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (PQM-P) won 17 seats. Other parties also got 17 seats. The outcome of a meeting has been withheld. Due to no party getting absolute majority, a hung parliament was formed. Imran Khan is in jail and has lagged behind in his efforts to form the government.
