Nawada's Kauwakol market remained closed due to severe electricity shortage

Nawada, 1 August (HS). The electricity system in Kauakol of Nawada district is continuously deteriorating. The situation is such that people are not able to get electricity for even two-three hours. Due to which all kinds of work from business, agriculture to other works are getting affected. At the same time, the anger of the villagers is also at its peak due to the poor electricity system. On Thursday, the market of Kauakol headquarters was completely closed against the poor electricity system. The shopkeepers voluntarily closed their shops and expressed their displeasure towards the electricity system.

The shopkeepers held a meeting at the Arya Samaj Mandir situated in Kauakol market and sent an application to the Chief Minister, Energy Minister and Executive Engineer through email and demanded improvement in the power supply in Kauakol block. Market Committee Chairman Sameer Kumar, Treasurer Subhash Lal, General Secretary Dilip Kumar etc. said that on talking to the Executive Engineer on mobile, he said that he will soon make the required improvements in the power system. Mohd. Shamim Akhtar, Shankar Lal, Sunny etc. were present on the occasion.
