Narata's fast is starting from 3rd October. The festival lasts for nine days, in which nine forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped. During this time, devotees decorate the platform of Mata Rani and also keep a fast to get the immense blessings of Mata Rani.

According to religious beliefs, fasting during Narat brings auspicious results to a person. But some special things are kept in mind during the fast, due to which one gets the full results of the puja. Let us know what things should be kept in mind and what things should be consumed during Narata fast –

– You can eat potato and sago vegetable, peanuts and potato chips during the fast.
– Buckwheat flour bread can be eaten during fasting.
– Fruits, milk and curd can also be added to it.
– Onion and garlic should not be consumed at home during Narata.
Apart from this, wheat and rice should also not be eaten.
– During Naratan Vrat, one should not consume non-vegetarian items and alcohol etc. even by mistake.
– Common salt should not be used during fasting.
-Do not leave the house empty during Narata Puja. Always keep the house illuminated, this will bring prosperity and happiness.
