Navratri is starting from today after Pitru Paksha. This year Shardiya Navratri will run from 3rd October to 12th October. Navratri begins with Ghatasthapana or Kalash Sthapana on Pratipada Tithi. Therefore, setting up the Kalash has special importance in this. Kalash is established on the auspicious occasion on the first day of Navratri. If you have not been able to establish the Kalash yet, do not worry because there is still auspicious time left. If the devotees worship Navdurga wholeheartedly during the nine days of Navratri, then Mataji gives them the desired results. Different forms of Navadurga are worshiped during the nine days of Navratri. The first day is dedicated to Parvatputri. On the first day, puja starts with Ghat Sthapana. According to mythological beliefs, worshiping the Goddess during the festival of Navratri pleases her and removes all the sorrows of her devotees and grants them happiness and prosperity. Maa Durga in her first form is known as Shailputri. The nine forms of Goddess Durga are Shailputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri and Siddhidatri. Navratri means nine nights. During these nine nights, nine forms of three goddesses Parvati, Lakshmi and Saraswati, called Navadurga, are worshipped.

Ghatasthapana
Navratri Ghatasthapana occurs on Ashwin Shukla Pratipada date. This time it will be from 12.18 pm on 2nd October to 2.58 pm on 3rd October. This year there are two auspicious times for establishing Kalash in Navratri. There was a moment of dawn which passed. And the second one will happen in the afternoon. The first time for establishing the Kalash was from 6.15 am to 7.22 am. People had 1 hour 6 minutes to demonstrate.

Now the second Muhurta will be in Abhijeet Muhurta in the afternoon. It will last from 11.46 am to 12.33 pm. Abhijeet Muhurat is also best for Ghatasthapana.

Worship of Shailputri Archana on the first day-
Mother Shailputri is worshiped on the first day of Navratri, who is the first Durga among the Navdurgas. Because she was born as a daughter of mountain king Himalaya, she was named Shailputri. Shailputri is worshiped and worshiped on the first day of Navratri. On this day, during the puja, the yogi concentrates his mind in the chakra and from here his yoga practice begins. Vrishabheshwar Shailputri Mata is adorned with a trident in her right hand and a lotus in her left hand.

Mother Shailputri is considered the protector of all wild animals and insects. By worshiping them one gets relief from troubles. Therefore, before settling in inaccessible places, Mata Shailputri is established. It is said that their installation makes the place safe. Once the idol of the Mother is established at that place, there is no danger of calamities, diseases, illnesses and ailments and the living being can live its life in peace.

During Navratri, Durga Mata is worshiped as the mother power, the goddess of compassion. Therefore in his worship all the holy places, rivers, seas, Navagrahas, directions, city deities, village deities including all the Yoginis are also invited and prayers and invocations are given to install him in the Kalash. On the first day of the puja, Goddess Durga Durgatinashini in the form of Shailputri is worshiped with flowers, akshat, kanku and sandalwood. Before worshiping her, install a picture or idol of Mata Shailputri at the post. Then install a Kalash on top of it. Make Swastika by placing coconut on Kalash and betel leaf. Then light a flame near the Kalash and chant the mantra 'Om Ain Hreem Kleem Chamundayai Vichche Om Shailputri Devyai Namah'. Then offer a garland of white flowers to the mother and offer white naivedya like kheer or sweets to the mother. Then listen to mother's story and pray to her. In the evening, perform Havan by burning camphor in front of the Mother Goddess.
