Sabudana Khichdi, which is full of fiber, is delicious in taste and after eating it, one does not feel hungry for a long time. In most of the houses, Sabudana Khichdi is made to eat during fasting. Because it is not only delicious, but also easy to make.
Ingredients for making Sabudana Khichdi
- Soap nuts – 1 bowl
- Peanuts – 1/2 bowl
- Potato – 1
- Cumin seeds – 1 tablespoon
- Lemon – 1
- Curry leaves – 7-8
- Chopped green chillies – 2
- Ghee/oil – 1 tablespoon
- Sindhav salt – as per taste
Method of making Sabudana Khichdi
You can make delicious Sabudana Khichdi during the nine days of Navratri. To make it, first wash the soapnuts and soak them in water for 2-3 hours. So that the soapnuts become soft and swell well. – During this time, put the peanuts in a pan and dry them. After this, crush the peanuts, peel them and grind them.
– Now put oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. When the oil is hot, add cumin seeds and fry them. – After this, add curry leaves, green chillies and fry them. – Now add chopped potatoes and fry them well. It will take 2-3 minutes to fry the potatoes. – When the potatoes become soft, add soaked soap water to it and mix well. – After this, cover the pan and let the sago remain like this for 4-5 minutes. During this, keep stirring the soap grains from time to time, so that they do not stick to the pan.
– Now add crushed peanuts and salt as per taste and mix well. – After this add lemon juice to it and let the khichdi cook for 2-3 minutes. After this turn off the gas. Finally garnish it with green coriander and serve with curd.
