Ingredients for Coconut Barfi

  • Coconut
  • One to two spoons of desi ghee
  • Mother
  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Pistachios, Almonds and Cashews

How to make coconut barfi

– First of all, fry the mawa in a pan on low flame and when the aroma starts coming from it, take it off the flame and let it cool down. – When the dhoya cools down, add grated coconut to it. – Now heat enough water in a thick bottomed pan to thicken the khoya and coconut mixture.

Dissolve sugar in water and when syrup is formed, add coconut and mawa mixture to it, let it swell and also add chopped almonds. When it starts thickening i.e. the barfi is ready to freeze, apply desi ghee in the plate and spread a thick layer of the mixture. When it cools down, cut the barfi with the help of a knife and garnish with almonds.
