Naturopathy College and ayurveda college in Maharashtra: : Nowadays, many citizens are seen preferring the treatment of diseases through naturopathy. To get scientific education in this subject, the Directorate of AYUSH has approved the Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences course from this year.
Maharashtra The Cabinet approved a new Government Yoga and Naturopathy Degree College at Uttur in Azara taluka of Kolhapur district with an enrolment capacity of 60 students and an attached 60-bed hospital. This will promote yoga and naturopathy education.
A total expenditure of Rs 182.35 crore is expected for the new Government Yoga and Naturopathy Degree College and the necessary funds and expenditure have been approved accordingly. Also, expenditure has been approved by providing an amount of approximately Rs 19.67 crore per year for the necessary recurring expenditure in every subsequent year after the fifth year.
Currently, the degree course prescribed by Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nashik for Bachelor of Yoga and Naturopathy (BNYS) is not being run through any institute in the state. This decision is important for this.
Accordingly, the Cabinet has approved the necessary creation of the proposed posts and filling up of the posts. Approval was given to establish a new Government Yoga and Naturopathy Degree College at Uttar, Azara, Dist. Kolhapur with an intake capacity of 60 students and an attached hospital with 60 beds.
What will the course be like?
- The students will be admitted to the course on the basis of their 12th Science marks.
- 60 students will be admitted in the first year.
- The help of National Institute of Naturopathy will be taken to create a degree course on this subject
- The total duration of this course will be four and a half years.
- After this, one year internship will be mandatory.
- The students who pass this will be awarded the degree of Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
