Unemployment in India : There are many cases of youth suffering from unemployment in the country. Recently, such cases have come to light that thousands of youth are coming towards small recruitment process, in which MBA-graduates are also willing to do small jobs. However, on the other hand, government figures show a different picture. At present, the report released by the National Sample Survey has revealed that the unemployment rate has stabilized.

Unemployment among women increased

Example of Unemployment

Just a while ago, during the recruitment process at a hotel in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, a huge crowd of youth had gathered. Due to the stampede, the railing of the hotel collapsed. On the other hand, as soon as the recruitment of Nagar Sevak (cleaner) was announced in Haryana, lakhs of youth applied. These youth also had degrees like Graduate, MBA, BCA, BSc. This shows that the youth are not getting work according to their qualification, so they are ready to do any work. At Mumbai airport also, during the recruitment of cleaners and caretakers, there was a stampede of thousands of applicants.

LFPR increased

LFPR (labour force participation rate) covers the number of people eligible to work in the total population of the country. The LFPR for women above 15 years of age increased from 37 percent in July-22 to June-23 to 41.7 percent in July-23 to June-24. While this rate has increased from 78.5 percent to 78.8 percent in men.
