Nawada, 31 August (HS). On the orders of the ICDS director, the National Nutrition Month program was started on Saturday by planting saplings at Anganwadi centres in all blocks of Nawada district.
Child Development Project Officer Jyoti Sinha inaugurated the Nutrition Month by planting a sapling at Bhavana Anganwadi Centre of Narhat Block and Chater Mushari Anganwadi Centre of Gram Panchayat. On this occasion, the importance of tree plantation was explained to the rural children. The Nutrition Month was inaugurated with tree plantation at all the Anganwadi Centres of Kauakol block of the district. Giving information about this, Child Development Project Officer Anjali Kumari said that for the purpose of environmental protection, the Nutrition Month program was started by planting trees under the theme 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'.
The CDPO himself planted saplings in the project office along with the workers and gave detailed information to the people about planting saplings and the Nutrition Month. He said that various types of programs will be organized to create awareness about nutrition among the people during the Nutrition Month. Head clerk Vipin Kumar, block coordinator Shashi Ranjan, data operator Sanjay Kumar, women supervisor Kumari Sanju Sinha, Shobha Kumari etc. were present on the occasion.
