As per the instructions of the National Legal Services Authority, New Delhi and on behalf of the District Legal Services Authority, National Lok Adalat will be organized on December 14 in all 75 districts of the state. Through this, the cases pending in civil, criminal and revenue courts as well as pre-litigation (before filing the case) matrimonial disputes will also be resolved through conciliation.

All types of compoundable criminal cases, compoundable criminal cases related to electricity and water bills, Section 138 NI Act and bank recovery related to check bounce, revenue cases, motor accident compensation cases and other civil cases will be resolved in Rashtriya Lok Adalat.

The objective of the National Lok Adalat organized by the Yogi government and the District Legal Services Authority is to create harmony between the two parties. This saves time and money of the parties concerned. A case decided in Lok Adalat cannot be appealed in any other court. The decision of Lok Adalat is considered final. At the same time, the court fees paid are returned to the parties. The decision of the Lok Adalat is as binding as the decision of the Civil Court. In such a situation, if the people of the state want to get any pending case settled in the National Lok Adalat on the basis of settlement, then they can contact the presiding officer of the concerned court or the office of the District Legal Services Authority of the district and get the case fixed in the National Lok Adalat. Pre-litigation matrimonial disputes are those which arise between the couple due to various reasons. To resolve this, the husband or wife will submit an application to the District Legal Services Authority writing a brief description of the dispute. After this, the opposition will be sent a notice and called. A bench of family court judge and mediation advocate will be formed. The bench will organize a meeting of both the parties and resolve the dispute through conciliation. The decision will be passed by the bench in Lok Adalat on the basis of agreement between the parties, which will be considered final. This will prevent the family from breaking up and family harmony will be maintained. An appeal cannot be filed against the said decision in any other court.
