New Delhi: The Education Ministry has taken a big decision. Till now studies in CBSE were conducted only in Hindi and English languages. But now studies can be done in 22 Indian languages. School Education and Literacy Secretary Sanjay Kumar said that according to the National Education Policy 2020, children up to class five should be taught in their mother tongue and this time according to the new curriculum, it has been decided that along with Hindi and English, N. C.E.R.T. Will teach 22 Indian languages. Print books in languages.
School Education and Literacy Secretary said that we have asked NCERT to publish the entire syllabus in 22 languages. These languages are in Article 8 of the Constitution of India. CBSE has also given advisory to all its 28 thousand schools.
Sanjay Kumar said that children can give board exams in these languages also. This step will promote equality. States can also teach in these languages in their boards. NCERT will soon make these books available digitally.
He said that this very far-reaching decision has been taken under the National Education Policy 2020. Because I think that National Education Policy is the DNA of India's future.
