National Congress Meeting: The meeting of the National Conference (NC) legislature party began today at the Nawai Subai party headquarters, in which party leaders Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah and newly elected MLAs were present. In the meeting, Omar Abdullah was unanimously elected the leader of the legislative party. Bashir Veeri, MLA elected from Srigufwara Bijbehara, gave this information. Another leader Salman Sagar said that it was an emotional moment for us when we nominated Omar Abdullah for the post of CM.
Before the meeting some leaders talked to the media. Tanveer Sadiq said that we stand by our promise. Jammu and Kashmir needs a strong and vibrant leadership and I think there can be no one better than Omar Abdullah. Hasnain Masoodi said that as soon as the government is formed, we will work on removing 370 hours. We will fulfill all the promises that NC made in its election manifesto.
Farooq Ahmed Shah said that people have trusted NC. We will always stick to the recommendations of our leaders. Jammu and Kashmir needs a strong and effective government. He further said that the NC will continue to fight for the removal of Article 370 and the rights that were taken away in August 2019.
Javed Ahmed Baig said that people have trusted NC, we will work on providing employment to the youth. We will look into those issues which remain unresolved after the removal of Article 370.
Taking aim at BJP, Surinder Chaudhary said that people have clearly rejected BJP's 2019 decision by voting against them. BJP has neglected every aspect of Jammu and Kashmir and the public has responded by defeating them with votes.
Shamima Firdous said that the trust that people have shown on NC will motivate me to live up to their expectations. Altaf Kalu, Bashir Veeri in the meeting.
