Ranchi, 03 October (HS). The national conference Gastrocon-24 is being organized by the Indian Society of Gastroenterology on October 5-6 at ZAP-1 Auditorium (Shaurya Auditorium) located in Doranda. Apart from Jharkhand, renowned gastroenterologists from across the country will participate in the conference. More than 200 experts from different states will participate in it.
Organizing Secretary Dr. Manohar Lal Prasad and Organizing Chairman Dr. Pranab Mandal and Co-Chairman Dr. Jayant Ghosh told in the Press Club on Thursday that diseases like stomach, liver, intestine etc. will be discussed in detail in Gastrocon-24. What new advanced technologies have come in the treatment of which disease, how can we doctors provide better medical facilities to the patients. Will share information on this among ourselves. Which medical methods are being used by expert doctors in other states, which advancements can be adopted in Jharkhand so that the patients here can be treated well. This will be our focus.
Dr. Manohar Lal told that information about motor dysphagia (difficulty in swallowing food), pancreatitis, liver transplant, what is the new treatment for watery stomach, new treatment about hepatitis B etc. will be shared among themselves. Dr. Anil Arora, Dr. Piyush Ranjan, Dr. Vikas Singhala from Delhi, Dr. SK Sinha from Chandigarh, Dr. Sandeep Pal from Kolkata, Dr. Ashok Choudhary from ILBS New Delhi, Dr. Amar Mukund, Dr. from Hyderabad were present in the conference. GV Rao, Dr. Kapil Sharma and other expert doctors will participate as speakers.
During the conference, along with live surgery, doctors from Bihar-Jharkhand will present their important case studies and special research on stomach, intestine and liver diseases. For the first time, live workshops will be organized in the conference, in which diseases related to difficulty in eating by non-invasive endoscopic method, operation of achalasia cardia, diseases related to pancreas, drainage of pancreatic syncyst, operation of large-sized bile duct by ERCP. The big stone will be operated by spy glass. Besides, gastroquiz and poster presentation is also being organized for better participation and knowledge enhancement of PG students.
