National Commission for Women expressed concern over Sandeshkhali case

Kolkata, 19 February (HS). National Commission for Women Chairperson Rekha Sharma has expressed concern over the situation in Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district. On Monday, she was speaking to reporters at Dum Dum airport before taking stock of the ground situation in restive Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district.

During this he criticized Mamata Banerjee government. She said that I will go to Sandeshkhali to meet the victims. I want the victims to come and talk to me, the National Commission for Women is with them.

Rekha Sharma said that she will meet the Governor of West Bengal and then the President tomorrow. He says that many things are coming to light but the police is suppressing them. He says, 'I have heard that ten relatives of the victims have been arrested but the main accused Sheikh Shahjahan has not been arrested yet.' Rekha Sharma said that she is not able to meet DM and SP. The state government is not allowing him to meet the administration.
