The last rites of the deceased children were performed in a sad atmosphere in the evening. As soon as information about the accident was received, Haryana Education Minister Seema Trikha reached Matrika Hospital in Rewari to inquire about the well being of the children. The Education Minister said that he has spoken to the doctor and the condition of the children is out of danger. He said that opening schools today on a holiday and handing over 50 lives to a careless driver is the biggest negligence. In this, strict action will be taken against the driver, principal and school owner.
The Education Minister also said that private school operators should stop doing business and follow the rules. Like children, private school operators themselves should learn values. Former Haryana Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma has also expressed his condolences on this accident. Earlier, Ateli MLA Sitaram Yadav, former Deputy Speaker Santosh Yadav and other leaders reached the spot after taking information about the accident and expressed grief. District Deputy Commissioner Monica Gupta said that the administration is keeping full vigil. All the injured are being treated. Whatever possible help is being provided by the administration regarding the treatment of children.
