Chandigarh, 4 December (HS). Narayan Singh Chauda, accused of fatal attack on Sukhbir Badal at Darbar Sahib in Amritsar, has been involved in terrorist activities. Chauda has been involved in the terrorists who helped the accused in the murder of former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh and has also served jail in this case.
Narayan Singh Chauda is a resident of Dera Baba Nanak, Gurdaspur. He is a member of the Sikh organization Dal Khalsa. Amritsar Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar himself has interrogated Chauda.
Meanwhile, Akali Dal has aggressively surrounded the government. Akali leader Daljit Cheema said that Congress MP from Gurdaspur Sukhjinder Randhawa’s partner is the chairman of the market committee. The person who fired the shot is the brother of the chairman’s partner. Sukhbir’s security personnel also got wind of this. He kept an eye on Chauda. Choda kept roaming there first. After this he slowly moved towards Darbar Sahib Gate, where Sukhbir Badal was doing the duty of a sevadar sitting on a wheelchair.
Punjab DGP Law and Order Arpit Shukla said while talking to the media that this attack has failed due to the promptness of Punjab Police. He said that Punjab Police constable Rachpal Singh was the first to catch the accused and changed the direction of the fire. After this, constables Jasbir Singh and Parvinder Singh posted there caught Narayan Singh Chada. The attacker Narayan Singh has been involved in terrorist activities since 1984.
