Ranchi, 18 October (Hindustan Reporter). In view of the assembly elections, the Congress Election Committee meeting was held at Congress Bhawan on Friday. This meeting was held under the chairmanship of State Congress President cum Election Committee Chairman Keshav Mahato Kamlesh. State Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir was present in the meeting as the chief guest.
Giving information about the meeting, State Congress spokesperson Sonal Shanti said that the names of assembly wise candidates were discussed in the meeting. Names for each assembly were recommended by the committee members. After this, the top leadership was unanimously authorized to take the final decision for the selection of the candidates. The members attending the meeting discussed the alliance with equations in terms of assembly seats. Also, emphasis was laid on working unitedly for the victory of the candidate declared by the top leadership.
He said that the distribution of seats among the alliance parties has not been completed yet, hence the selection of candidates for all 81 assembly seats was done through committee members. After seat distribution, the final decision will be taken regarding the candidates on Congress quota seats. In all circumstances, the decision on candidature will be taken by the top leadership after the recommendation of the Central Election Committee.

Neha Tirkey, Bandhu Tirkey, Amba Prasad, Dheeraj Prasad Sahu, Furkan Ansari, Chandrashekhar Dubey, Sanjay Lal Paswan, Ashok Chaudhary, Sultan Ahmed, Alok Dubey, Mani Shankar, Abhijeet Raj, Gunjan Singh, Vinay Horo, Nelly Nathan were present.
