NAFED Fair Price Center is being operated on the streets of Lucknow in public interest by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India. In the same sequence, the Centre's vehicle reached Parivartan Chowk and people purchased one kg onion at the rate of Rs 35.
Female teacher Archana and her husband, who purchased onions at the NAFED Fair Price Centre, told that due to the initiative of the Government of India, the general public does not have to pay high prices for purchasing vegetables and food items. After getting information about this vehicle, he came and purchased two kilos of onion. Similarly, he had also bought pulses cheaply from another vehicle.
Rajesh, an employee selling onion, told that the demand for the commodity increases in the market. It is sold by NAFED on behalf of the Center at a lower price, so that the common man can get relief. There is talk of bringing all the schemes running in the center on the roads, in fact this scheme is running completely on the roads. By placing the vehicle on the road itself, the materials in it are made available for sale at low prices. People come automatically after seeing the vehicle.
