“My intentions were not wrong”

After the reaction of Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha and the statement of her father Shatrughan Sinha, Mukesh Khanna has finally broken his silence. Mukesh Khanna has said that he never intended to hurt Sonakshi Sinha or her father.

Let us tell you that Mukesh Khanna’s statement on Sonakshi’s upbringing had created controversy. Sonakshi gave a befitting reply through her Instagram story, after which Shatrughan Sinha also slammed Mukesh Khanna. Now in an interview, Mukesh Khanna has clarified his point.

“My intentions were not wrong.”

Speaking to News9, Mukesh Khanna said:
“I am surprised that it took them so long to react to this issue. I knew that I was mentioning the incident that happened in ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, which might upset him. But my intention was not to defame Sonakshi or her father Shatrughan Sinha. Shatrughan Sinha is my senior and I have a very good relationship with him.”

“The issue was about today’s generation”

Mukesh Khanna said that his statement was not against Sonakshi Sinha but he was expressing his concern over today’s generation. He said:
“My point was that today’s generation, which is being called Gen Z, they have become slaves to Google and mobile phones. They are not aware of their culture and religious texts, which is a matter of concern.”

What was the whole matter?

Actually, during an episode of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, a question related to Ramayana from Sonakshi Sinha was not answered. After this, Mukesh Khanna raised questions on Sonakshi’s upbringing and said that today’s generation is not aware of their religion and culture.

Sonakshi Sinha expressed her displeasure on this statement and said that it is wrong to question her upbringing. After Sonakshi, her father Shatrughan Sinha also made a scathing attack on Mukesh Khanna and asked who has made him the guardian of Hindu religion.
