Vice Chancellor of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University Professor Satyakam will know the status of open and distance education in Purvanchal during his four-day visit and will give important tips regarding maximum enrollment through Samarth Portal in the workshop of study center coordinators at regional centers. Along with this, the objective of this workshop will be to reach the popular programs of the university to the people.
The Open University has conducted the admission process for the admission session 2024-25 through the Samarth portal, which is a completely new experience. To get rid of the difficulties faced by the study center coordinators spread across the remote areas of the state, the Vice Chancellor has taken the initiative to train the coordinators by organizing enrollment motivation and feedback workshops in four major regional centers of Purvanchal, Varanasi, Azamgarh, Gorakhpur and Ayodhya. Through this, the coordinators will be provided special information about admission information, financial counseling, quality in examination, timely counseling etc. from the Samarth portal.
Giving this information, the Public Relations Officer of the University, Dr. Prabhat Chandra Mishra, said that the workshop of the Principals and Coordinators of the Study Centres will be inaugurated on July 19 at Swami Atulanand Convent College, Koirajpur, Tarnapur, Varanasi. The workshop of Principals and Coordinators is organized at Purvanchal PG College, Rani ki Sarai, Azamgarh on July 20 at 11 am. He informed that the workshop of Principals and Coordinators will be organized at Samvad Bhawan of Digvijay Nath PG College, Gorakhpur on July 21 at 12 noon and at BNS Girls Degree College, Janaura in Regional Center Ayodhya on July 22.
Dr Mishra informed that a team has been formed by the university for the successful organisation of all these workshops to be held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Professor Satyakam. It mainly includes Registrar Colonel Vinay Kumar, Controller of Examinations D.P. Singh, Admission Incharge Professor J.P. Yadav, Professor Satyapal Tiwari, Professor S. Kumar, Professor P.K. Stalin, Dr Satish Chandra Jaisal, Dr Prabhat Chandra Mishra and Indu Bhushan Pandey etc.
