Dhaka, 11 November (HS). Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Sunday announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against West Indies. Experienced batsman Mushfiqur Rahim has not got a place in the team.
After several rounds of talks with the BCB President, Nazmul Hussain Shanto has agreed to captain in two matches. He had earlier said that he wanted to step down from Test captaincy after the South Africa Test.
Zakir Ali along with Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam have returned to the squad for the series. The series will begin on December 22 while the second match will be played on December 30.
BCB decided not to include Shakib Al Hasan in the squad, indicating that his Test career is almost over as he missed the farewell Test against South Africa at home.
Meanwhile, off-spinner Nayeem Hasan and fast bowler Khalid Ahmed were dropped from the squad for the West Indies Test.
