He has become the first batsman to score the most centuries for his team on foreign soil in the Test format. Earlier this special record was in the name of Tamim Iqbal, but Rahim has now achieved this special feat by scoring a century in the first innings of the Rawalpindi Test. Now he has the record of scoring the most 5 centuries for Bangladesh in the Test format on foreign soil.
Tamim Iqbal's record broken
Mushfiqur Rahim has also surpassed Tamim Iqbal in terms of scoring the most centuries in Test cricket for Bangladesh. Iqbal played a total of 70 Test matches for his team between 2008 and 2023. During this, he was successful in scoring 10 centuries in 134 innings. After completing his 11th century in the Rawalpindi Test, Rahim has now surpassed Iqbal in a special case.
The current batsman Mominul Haque holds the special record of scoring the most centuries in Test cricket for Bangladesh. Haque has played 62* matches for the Bangladesh cricket team since 2013 and has scored a maximum of 12 centuries in 115 innings.

Mushfiqur Rahim has achieved another special achievement in the ongoing match. He has become the second highest run scorer in international cricket for the Bangladesh cricket team.
