Hisar, August 1 (HS). This time the Municipal Corporation has decided to collect Rs. 25 crore as property tax from the people of the corporation area. For this the corporation has set a target and also formed a sub-committee. Now the sub-committee will work to achieve the target of Rs. 25 crore. In this regard, Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya held a meeting with officers and employees on Thursday. Discussing in detail about property tax in the city, Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya said that a target of Rs. 25 crore has been set in the current financial year, whereas till July 31 only Rs. 3.38 crore property tax has been collected.
The Municipal Commissioner ordered both the secretaries to select 20 properties each and issue notices to them. He said that if the property tax is not deposited after the notice, then sealing action will be taken against them. Both the secretaries were also given the target of collecting property tax of Rs 50 lakh each. For recovery of property tax, Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Dahiya ordered to form a sub-committee under the leadership of Deputy Municipal Commissioner Virendra Saharan. This committee will work to achieve the set target of property tax recovery of Rs 25 crore in the city.
Adopting a strict stand regarding pending files, the Municipal Commissioner said that if the public is harassed then be ready for strict action. He said that at any level the files should not go beyond the stipulated time limit and they should be disposed of within the stipulated time limit. During this, Additional Municipal Commissioner Pradeep Hooda, Deputy Municipal Commissioner Virendra Saharan, Senior Account Officer Ashok Nehra, AE Sumit Kumar, Secretary Sanjay Sharma, Secretary Deepak, Expert Rajkumar Shyokand, Expert Anil Mehta, Maker Rameshwardas, JE Kushal and the clerk of the property branch were present.
