Ranchi, August 27 (HS). Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department Sunil Kumar has instructed the officials of Ranchi Municipal Corporation to improve the condition of the roads of the capital. Start work towards repairing them as soon as possible. Along with this, ensure that there is no waterlogging on the roads. The secretary also said that efforts should be made to develop industrial areas and IT parks according to the Master Plan 2015. He was reviewing the development plans going on in the Ranchi Corporation area in the auditorium located in the State Secretariat Project Bhawan on Tuesday.
Instructions given in review meeting
-The potholes visible on the city roads should be repaired immediately.
-Ensure that street lights are lit in every area. If they are not working, replace them immediately and install lights where they are not working.
– There should be a bus terminal in the city for intercity buses. If there is one, then civic amenities should be improved there. This instruction is for Itki Bus Terminal and Dhurwa Bus Terminal located on Ratu Road.
-Industrial areas and IT parks should be developed in the city as per Master Plan 2015.
-Make sure to provide and construct footpaths on the sides of roads so that pedestrians can reach their destination safely.
– Use RFID for cleanliness so that it can be known whether the garbage is being collected from every house or every society every day or not.
– Complete the ongoing projects under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in Ranchi city soon.
– Encourage night markets like in big cities by marking places in important areas of the city.
– Do not cut the road here and there in the name of sewerage and drainage construction.
