Municipal Corporation recovered Rs 10 thousand from dog owner for not registering


Ghaziabad, 03 May (Hindustan Reporter). Municipal Corporation has started strict action regarding dog registration, for which the department is also running public awareness campaign for maximum dog registration and registration. In this series, the corporation has collected a fine of ten thousand rupees from the dog owner for not registering in Ajnara Integrated Society. Besides, an appeal has also been made to the dog owners to register their dogs on time. The corporation has so far registered more than six thousand pet dogs.

As per the rules, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation is charging Rs 1,000 per dog for new registration and Rs 500 per swan for renewal, and is also charging fine from the swan owners who do not register.

Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Malik said that Deputy Chief Veterinary and Welfare Officer Dr. Anuj said that registration is free for such dogs which are sick, disabled and indigenous dogs.
