The Bawana Munak canal, which supplies water to Delhi from Haryana, broke late at night due to excessive water pressure. Due to which the JJ Colony area was flooded, the water rose so much that it entered people's homes. People living near the canal had to stay in the water overnight. The NDRF team arrived in the morning and is taking the stranded people to a safe place by boat. Local people told that 10 to 15 days ago there was water leakage near the canal. Haryana was releasing excess water in the Munak canal for the last several days, but no attention was paid to it. Due to which this situation has come. It is being told that the work of repairing the broken part of the canal has also been started to evacuate the people. Electricity has been cut off here due to waterlogging.
Locals said that the canal has broken in J, K, L and M blocks. Initially, four blocks were flooded. The water had risen up to three feet. They said that due to waterlogging, the main road of the colony has also been closed. At around 12 o'clock at night, water started entering the houses and the water level started rising slowly. The NDRF team arrived at around three in the morning. Since then, the work of evacuating people whose noses are filled with water is going on. Due to waterlogging, no one could go to their office.

He said that due to the crack in the canal, J, K, L and M blocks of JJ Colony have been flooded. He appealed to the people to take care of their belongings and themselves.
