Mumbai Police took into custody the accused from Rajnandgaon who made false threat of bomb in Air India flight.

Rajnandgaon/Raipur, 15 October (HS). Mumbai Police today (Tuesday) took into its custody the minor accused who gave false information through social media about the presence of a bomb in Air India flight number AI 119 from Mumbai to New York. According to Rajnandgaon Police, Mumbai Police had reached Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh late on Monday evening and took a minor with them from here.

According to police sources, a 17-year-old minor from the Agarwal family, a resident of Sun City in Rajnandgaon city, had spread the rumor about a bomb in the plane through social media. After investigation, a special five-member team of Mumbai Police reached Rajnandgaon on Monday evening. The police was interrogating the minor by taking him into custody. According to the information, the minor is habitually vicious. Even before this, he had hacked the mobile phones of many people, a complaint about which was lodged in the Kotwali police station of the city. It is being verified. Four months ago, the same minor had sent the message of blowing up the train to the Railway DG through internet media. Recently, on September 26, he had made a video of committing suicide by consuming sleeping medicine and messaged it to the IG of Rajnandgaon range.

It is noteworthy that on Monday morning, a bomb threat was issued to the Air India plane going from Mumbai to New York through social media. After this the plane was diverted to Delhi. The plane was landed at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi and the passengers were deboarded and the plane was searched. However, nothing like this was found in the plane. After the false bomb message surfaced, the Mumbai Police Commissioner immediately formed a special investigation team, in which a 2015 batch IPS officer was given command. The team was led by DCP Mumbai Airport Manish Kalwania of Mumbai Police. After investigation, the strings of this false threat were found to be linked to Rajnandgaon. After which a special five-member team of Mumbai Police reached Rajnandgaon on Monday evening. In the evening itself, Mumbai Police was interrogating the minor by taking him into custody. On Tuesday morning, the police took the minor in their custody to Mumbai.
