East Champaran, 27 July (HS). Mumbai Police has arrested a member of the shutter katva gang in the case of mobile theft worth 53 lakhs from Ghodasahan police station area of the district. According to the information received, on June 19, 58 mobiles were stolen from an iPhone showroom in Bhadup police station area of Mumbai, whose value is said to be 53 lakh rupees.
After CCTV investigation and research, Mumbai Police found out that Reyaz Alam, a resident of Darji Mohalla of Ghodasahan Police Station area of Motihari, was also involved in the theft incident. After which, a five-member team of Mumbai Police led by SI Abhijeet Tekware of Mumbai Police reached Ghodasahan and with the help of local police station, conducted a raid and arrested Reyaz from his house located in Darji Mohalla.
Mumbai Police will take the arrested Reyaz on transit remand from Dhaka court and leave for Mumbai. It is noteworthy that the arrested Reyaz is an active member of the Shutter Katva gang. He is wanted in dozens of theft cases in many states.
