An official of Kalachowki Police Station in Mumbai said that an electric bus was going from Ballard Pier in South Mumbai towards Rani Laxmibai Chowk in Sion, when a drunk passenger snatched the steering of the bus from the driver. At the same time, 9 pedestrians were crushed in the entire incident. It is being told that the drunk passenger had an argument with the bus driver. When the bus reached near Ganesh Talkies in Lalbaug, he suddenly grabbed the steering wheel, due to which the bus driver lost control and this accident happened.
In the entire incident, the bus hit 2 motorcycles, a car and several pedestrians, in which 9 people were injured and the condition of three others is still critical. All the injured have been admitted to different hospitals in the city. The police have taken the drunk passenger into custody and started investigating the entire matter.
