Mumbai: The Maharashtra State Service Commission on Thursday announced that the date of the Maharashtra Gazetted Civil Services Combined Preliminary Examination has been extended. On Wednesday night, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said in a statement that it is the responsibility of the state government to think in the interest of the students appearing for the MPSC examination. It seems that the rulers are not taking this matter seriously. If the government does not clarify its stand, then I will go to the protest site and participate in the movement to get justice for the candidates.
On Wednesday, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis appealed to the MPSC chairman to take a positive decision on the demands of the students. The MPSC held a meeting with the commission members and a delegation of agitating students in Mumbai and then issued a statement to postpone the exam date.
