Palamu, 4 December (Hindustan Reporter). Hatia-Anand Vihar Up-Down Jharkhand Swarnjayanti Express 12873/12874 will continue to operate. It was decided by the Railway Board to stop this train from 2 December to 10 January 2025 on the pretext of fog.
In this matter, Palamu MP Vishnu Dayal Ram had written a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Railway Board Chairman Satish Kumar, met them personally and requested to continue the operation of the said train. The MP had said that the people of Palamu and Garhwa, both the districts of Palamu parliamentary constituency, get maximum benefit from this train.
The said train is the best means to connect with the country’s capital and to travel to higher medical institutions in Delhi for treatment. The MP said that Palamu, Garhwa, Latehar of Jharkhand and Sonbhadra of Uttar Pradesh are included in the list of aspirational districts. Instead of increasing the means of transportation of students, businessmen and patients of the above districts, it is not appropriate to reduce it for 38 days. The Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is known for ending the tradition of old and absurd decisions. With the continuation of the operation of the said train, the movement of passengers will become easier. On Wednesday, MP VD Ram gave information in this regard. The MP has expressed gratitude to the Railway Minister and the Chairman of the Railway Board for this.
