Gorakhpur, 19 August (HS). Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday inspected the state of the art Centre of Excellence being built at Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology (MPIT) run by Maharana Pratap Education Council. On this occasion, he inquired about the progress of all the Centres of Excellence and directed to prepare them as per world class standards and prepare its courses keeping in mind the future requirements.
The Chief Minister said that Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology has to be made a model of technical education. The Center of Excellence being built here will play a big role in this.
It is worth mentioning that the admission process for B.Tech studies is going on in six branches in MPIT from this session, Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Data Science, Cyber Security, Information Technology and Electronics Engineering (VLSI Design and Technology). Admission will be taken on 60-60 seats in all these branches. That means the student capacity of MPIT in the first session will be 360.
Along with the ongoing admission process for B.Tech admission, different centers of excellence are being set up in the campus of MPIT located in Lachchipur. A total of six types of courses (integrated courses including artificial intelligence, cyber security, drone technology, space technology, 3D printing) will be conducted in the Centers of Excellence of Drone Technology and 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence, Space Technology, Cyber Security. All the centers of excellence and the courses being conducted in them are being prepared according to global standards. Students will be able to prepare themselves according to the respective industry-service sector through professional certificate courses, minor degree courses and advanced courses.
Most importantly, all the Centres of Excellence of MPIT will act as important centres for technical educational institutions of entire eastern Uttar Pradesh. Here not only the students of MPIT but also 15 other technical educational institutions approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will get the facility to join global courses. The institutes which will benefit from MPIT's Centre of Excellence include Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology, Government Polytechnic Gorakhpur, Government Women's Polytechnic Gorakhpur, Mahamaya Government Polytechnic Hariharpur Khajni, National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology Gorakhpur Centre, Maharana Pratap Polytechnic Gorakhpur, Buddha Institute of Technology GIDA Gorakhpur, Buddha Polytechnic College GIDA Gorakhpur, ITM GIDA Gorakhpur, ITM Polytechnic GIDA Gorakhpur, KIPM College of Engineering and Technology GIDA Gorakhpur, Little Flower Polytechnic Gorakhpur, Mahamanav Gautam Buddha Polytechnic Bankati Khurd, Suyash Institute of Information Technology Hakkabad Gorakhpur and Vikas Institute of Engineering and Technology Gorakhpur.
