Purnia, June 22 (HS). Purnia MP Pappu Yadav today attended the birth anniversary celebrations of Sant Shiromani Kabir Das ji at Anurag Bagh Kabir Ashram Mirzapur Makhdampur (Pawai) in Kodha block. Kabir Das's birth anniversary is being celebrated here with great pomp. MP Pappu Yadav was accompanied by many supporters.
On the occasion, the MP offered flowers to the statue of Sant Kabir. On this occasion, he said that Kabir is our guide. He was an inspiration for the society. His poetry awakens people even today. His words teach the art of living. Kabir Das had ruthlessly rejected communalism, rigidity related to worship, caste-varna discrimination and contradictions in life. Today, some people try to instigate caste and religion to shine in politics. Such political parties should take inspiration from Kabir's thoughts and formulate their policies.
