MP: Online application starts from today for free admission of poor children in private schools

Bhopal, 23 February (HS). The State Education Center has started the process of application from today (Friday) for online free admission of children from weaker sections and deprived groups in non-grant recognized non-government schools under the Right to Education Act (RTE) for the academic session 2024-25. It is happening. State Education Center Director Dhanraju S said that online applications will be taken on www.educationportal.mp.gov.in/rte portal till March 03.

He said that the option for error correction will be available on the portal. After online application, applicants will be able to download the acknowledgment and get the original documents verified at the centers from February 24 to March 5. Under RTE, schools will be allotted to the applicants by organizing an online lottery through a transparent random method on March 7, 2024. Applicants will also be informed through SMS. Applicants selected in the lottery will be able to get admission in the allotted school by downloading the allotment letter from March 11 to March 19, 2024. At the time of taking admission, the admission report will also be filed by the concerned private school through the mobile app.

He told that as soon as the process of the first phase is over, the process for admission in the second phase will be started. Vacant seats will be displayed on the portal on March 21, 2024. In the second phase, the choice of schools can be updated from 22 to 26 March. The second phase of online lottery will be held on March 28 and schools will be allotted. In the second phase, applicants selected through lottery will be able to download the allotment letter between March 30 and April 5, 2024 and get admission in the allotted school. The State Education Center has issued instructions to all the collectors to complete this work in a completely transparent manner within the stipulated time.
