Shajapur/Bhopal, September 25 (HS). A dispute broke out between two communities on Wednesday night in Maksi town located in Shajapur district of Madhya Pradesh. Soon weapons started firing between the two sides. During this, firing and stone pelting also took place. One person has died in this, while seven people have been injured, who have been referred to Shajapur and Indore. There is an atmosphere of tension in the area since the incident. A large number of police forces have been deployed in the entire town. Collector Riju Bafna and Superintendent of Police Yashpal Singh Rajput have also reached Maksi and the situation is being monitored.

It is being told that on last Monday late night, some youths beat up Sameer Mev, a youth who was returning after participating in the BJP membership campaign in the city's Baldi locality. On receiving the information, the representative of the city council president, Mahendra Singh Patel, reached the spot with his workers. During this, an atmosphere of tension was created there. People from both the sides gathered in large numbers at the police station. On the complaint, the police registered a case against the accused of assault. On Tuesday, people from the accused side reached the Superintendent of Police's office in Shajapur and accused the police of taking one-sided action.

After this, the situation became tense once again on Wednesday night. People of both the communities came face to face again. During this, bullets were fired and stones were pelted on each other. It is being told that a person named Amjad (40) son of Ajit Khan has died in the riot, while 7 people are injured, who have been referred to Shajapur and Indore. The injured include Arjan (14) son of Arif, Junaid Khan (45) son of Sabir Khan, Iqbal Khan (48) son of Mustafir, Ahujar (24) son of Sabir, Altaf (26) son of Sajid, Arbaaz son of Shakeel and Rehan (15) son of Irshad.

In view of the tense situation in the city, police force from more than half a dozen places of the district and also from the surrounding districts has been called in Maksi. Police force has been deployed in the entire city. However, Superintendent of Police Yashpal Singh Rajput said that the situation in the city is under control at present. Police force has been called from outside.
